Our wonderful volunteers help power Starting Over by supporting projects like canvassing/voter outreach, street outreach, mentorship, community event setup, and more. They help us build people power, develop strong community relationships, and provide support to our reentering community. Starting Over, Inc. began as a 100% volunteer-powered organization, and we continue to rely on our volunteers today to make a difference in the lives of our program participants.

Please note volunteer positions are unpaid. Time spent volunteering with Starting Over may count toward community service hours.

  • Food for Life

    We organize a food drive on the second and fourth Friday of each month. To donate fresh groceries, please get in touch with Ashley above.

  • Clothing Closet

    New or gently used clothing and accessory donations free of charge to houseguests and community members! Our closet is currently FULL and we cannot accept additional donations at this time.

  • community canvassing

    We’re looking for canvassers to get the word out about COVID resources, current campaigns, and other resources!
